Pam McWilliams lives in a Dallas suburb with her family and Dexter, a goldendoodle who’s part muse, part bad-boy, and full-time poster child for how to live a good life. She co-hosts an After-School Book Club for students at a public elementary school in Dallas, where years of reading and talking Picture Books with the younger kids helped to inspire this one.

Emily Hulen Thompson lives in Texas with her husband Justin, daughter Maggie, and dog Toby, all of whom were reference models and inspiration for her work. Toby may be small, but he gets into a lot of Dexter-sized mischief.
